The ICMCIS is an annual international conference with over 20-years of tradition. ICMCIS has a strong reputation for high quality research in defence and security with all accepted papers being published in IEEE eXplore.  The conference brings together international experts from research establishments in academia, industry, and military. The goal of the conference is to create a forum for constructive exchange of ideas and contacts on the development and implementation of new technologies and services for defence and security systems. The ICMCIS provides a unique opportunity to discuss research findings, concepts, different points of view and share experience with European and international colleagues working in the military and civil CIS areas.

Previous conferences took place in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Netherlands, Montenegro, Belgium and France.

The 21^st ICMCIS will be organised in Amsterdam, at the historical site of the old Naval Barracks.
